Flying with children and infants

We understand that flying with children can sometimes be a challenge, so we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you.

  • If you’re travelling with children under 5, we’ll board you early;
  • We can also carry two additional items for your child in the hold for free, if you require them
  • These include a travel cot, pushchair, car seat, collapsible or non-collapsible pram, booster seat and/or baby back carrier
  • You can choose your seats in advance (for a fee) to ensure you sit together;
  • We support breastfeeding mothers and you can feed your baby on board at any time.

Infant, child, or adult?

Here’s how we differentiate between infants and children. (Some airlines use different definitions.)

Infant

14 days – 2 years old*

Infants can only fly with an adult.

Babies under 14 days old are unable to travel.

*If your child is older than two years or turns two while you are travelling, you will have to book a separate seat for them.

Child

2 - 15 years old
Children between these ages cannot travel unless they are accompanied by an adult who is 16 years or older. Unaccompanied children aged 15 and under are not permitted to travel alone and will not be permitted to board the plane as easyJet does not provide an escort service or special requirements for unaccompanied children.

Adult

16+

easyJet classes anyone from this age and above as an adult and therefore you can fly with children, and with people requiring special assistance.

If you’re pregnant, you can travel up until the end of your 35th week (32nd week for multiple pregnancies) and you don’t need to bring a medical certificate. Some seats on board the aircraft are restricted but we show you which ones when booking.
