Porto Bello Royal

A stay at the Porto Bello Royal will see you spending plenty of time relaxing in the water thanks to its 15 swimming pools. Each one is bordered by sun terraces, loungers and parasols, and some of them come with added extras like waterfalls, hot tubs, and activity nets.

Instead of swimming, why not borrow a canoe or pedalo from the water sports centre and get out to sea. You can also play games of tennis, boccia, darts, beach volleyball, and more, or take your little ones to the playground and kids’ club activities. If whizzing down water slides is your vibe on the other hand, the hotel is handily pitched up next door to a fun-packed aqua park with rides to suit the whole family.

If that sounds too high energy, take yourself off to the hotel spa, where you can book in for everything from Balinese massages to seaweed wraps and cleansing facials. There’s also an indoor pool, a whirlpool bath, and a gym to use here. 

You’re well-set for mealtimes at this place. The main buffet restaurant offers international dishes, and then you’ve got a Mediterranean place, a Greek taverna, an Italian eatery, and a burger house. You can also grab snacks from the beach bar, or treat yourself to an ice cream from the gelateria. 

You can enjoy occasional entertainment including local entertainers and musicians in the hotel’s open-air amphitheatre after dark, or head over to one of the four bars for a couple of drinks.
