Our UK and Non-European flights mainly depart from the “H”, “G” or “D” gates. You will need to go through security filter number 3 which is next to row 24 (close to our Bag Drop area). Please make sure you give yourself enough time for your journey, as you will also have to go through passport control just after security.

Amsterdam Schiphol is a large and busy airport so it’s advisable to allow yourself plenty of time to complete your journey. If you have hold baggage to drop off, our Bag Drop opens:

  • 3 hours before departure for Flights to destinations outside of Europe (including UK)
  • 2.5 hours before departure for flights to destination within Europe (excluding UK)

Security

Our Schengen flights mainly depart from the “M” gates, so you will need to go through security filter number 4 which is next to row 30 near our Bag Drop area.


Schiphol airport has advanced security screening equipment, so liquids and electronics can now be left in your hand luggage.

The airport now offers a service to save time through security by reserving a ‘Timeslot’ in a dedicated pre-booked security queue. This service is provided by the Amsterdam Schiphol airport free of charge, but it must be booked in advance here https://ams.whyline.com

How to get from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam?

Our flights to Schiphol Airport land just 5.6 miles away from Amsterdam. If you plan to visit the city, you should arrange transport ahead of time. Airport transfers and car hire can be purchased on our website, but you can also catch a taxi, train or bus from the airport.

Ride the train

The Schiphol Airport Train Station is right under the airport. From there, you can take a lift or escalator to Schiphol Plaza, the airport’s main foyer. It’s close to Arrivals, and a minute or two’s walk to Departures.

Catch the bus

It’s easy to take a bus to Schiphol – the bus depot is right outside Schiphol Plaza, the airport’s main foyer. It’s a few steps walk to and from Arrivals and Departures.

Jump on your bike

Schiphol is easily accessible by bike. There are excellent bike paths around the airport to the terminal, as well as three bike sheds where you can park for up to four weeks.
