Credit on account – Terms & Conditions

Credit to your easyJet holidays account - Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

These terms apply strictly to easyJet holidays customers that have chosen to receive credit to their easyJet holidays account (either offered by us in writing, when logged into your easyJet holidays account, or when you exchange Tesco Clubcard points for credit). If you have not received and accepted an offer of credit, you will not be entitled to receive any credit and these terms will not apply to you. When we refer to "Credit" in these conditions, we mean easyJet holidays credit on account.

Summary of Key Terms

  • easyJet holidays Credit cannot be exchanged for cash or other monetary refund, either before or after it’s expiry date, but it can be redeemed against a booking during the validity of the Credit.
  • Credit not used before its expiry date will be lost. The expiry date will be clearly stated when you receive an offer of Credit.
  • Where Credit is used as payment towards a booking, and that booking is cancelled, if a refund is due (according to our cancellation policy), it will be made by way of a further Credit refund and not cash (validity of the further Credit will depend upon the terms that applied to the original offer of Credit).
  • The lead customer on the booking is responsible for applying/using Credit (or transferring the Credit to another person named on the original booking).
  • Credit cannot be used towards easyjet.com flight only bookings or extras and is not available to customers that book easyJet holidays via travel agents.
  • Improper use of the service/website may result in restrictions being placed on your easyJet holidays account, bookings being cancelled, and Credit withdrawn.

Terms and conditions

When you made your easyJet holidays booking, we created an online account for you to view your booking.

The following terms and conditions apply, if you accept an offer from us to receive online Credit:

1. Eligibility for Credit

The easyJet holidays account Credit is available to spend by the lead named customer on the original booking. The Credit can be used by the lead customer or, with permission from the lead customer, any other customer named on the original booking. One of the people named on the original booking must travel on the new booking. Credit is not available to customers that have booked through travel agents.

2. Spending Credit

The easyJet holidays account Credit can be used as full payment or part payment towards a new easyJet holidays booking. If the holiday booked using Credit costs more than the Credit amount you have, you’ll need to pay the difference.

3. What Credit cannot be used for

The easyJet holidays account Credit cannot be used against easyJet flight only bookings or flight extras, car hire, tours and experiences, or any other services. The Credit cannot be used to pay amendment or other charges/fees.

4. Statement of Credit

The easyJet holidays account Credit amount will be displayed on the easyJet holidays account of the lead customer. This may take around 30 days from confirmation. When logged into your account at www.easyjet.com/en/holidays or by clicking here, a booking can be made and Credit redeemed against a new booking. Note, it is not possible to view the Credit when logging into the easyjet.com website – you must login via the easyJet holidays section of the website.

5. Refunds paid in Credit

a) No cash alternative is available to the easyJet holidays account Credit amount.

b)  If you have received your deposit back as Credit following the cancellation of your booking, this will only be valid to use once. If your booking is cancelled by you a second time, your deposit/Credit will be retained by us.

c) Except as described in point 5 (b) above, where Credit is used as payment towards a booking, any future refunds related to that booking will be subjected to the following terms and conditions:

  (i)  If you choose to cancel your booking and you are entitled to a refund (subject to applicable cancellation charges), the amount you had paid in Credit will be refunded in the form of new Credit only if you cancelled your booking before the original expiry date of your Credit offer. In which case the Credit refunded will be valid until the original expiry date. If the expiry date of your Credit had passed at the point of cancellation, no new Credit will be issued.

(ii) If easyJet holidays cancel your booking, you will be entitled to a refund and you will have amounts paid by Credit refunded in the form of a new Credit valid for either 6 or 12 months (depending on how long your original Credit was valid for).

6. Expiry Date

The easyJet holidays account Credit will automatically expire if it is not used by the expiry date. The expiry date will be shown alongside the Credit amount when you are logged into your easyJet holidays account. This expiry is the date on which the Credit needs to be used, not when the holiday for which it is being used as payment must have taken place.

Unless stated otherwise, any Credit you receive is valid for single use only. Once it has been redeemed, it cannot be refunded unless your booking is cancelled by easyJet holidays.

7. Improper Use

We may treat irregular booking and cancellation patterns as being improper use of our services and Credit. This includes:

  • a repeated cycle of a booking being made, then cancelled, on more than three occasions; or
  • multiple bookings being made for the same or closely similar named travellers and holiday details where it would be impossible for any of the customers named to travel on more than one of those bookings.

At our absolute discretion, we may place restrictions on an easyJet account and prevent further bookings being made until appropriate enquires have been made.

Any improper use (fraudulent or otherwise) of the service and our website to amend a booking, to obtain a goodwill gesture or Credit on account, or to deprive other customers from booking holidays due to multiple bookings having been made (as described above), may result in the booking being reverted back to the original booking status, any applicable gesture being withdrawn and/or the booking/Credit being cancelled with no refund issued.

  8Other Terms

If you receive Credit following the exchange of Tesco Clubcard points, our Clubcard terms and conditions also apply.

These terms and conditions are supplementary to our main booking conditions. Those booking conditions continue to apply. We may change or withdraw this offer at any time.

* Please note, if easyJet holidays have to cancel a booking, and if that booking was paid by card/cash, we will always provide the option to receive a refund to the original payment method at the time of cancellation. However, if Credit is offered as an alternative option to a cash refund, or is offered due to a customer’s disinclination to travel, or in line with our cancellation terms outlined in our booking conditions, the Credit will not be exchanged for cash or any other monetary refund at a later time.
