Ischia Town Holidays

A perfect Italian town

With the sparkling Mediterranean Sea on one side and lush green hills on the other, the setting alone makes Ischia Town really quite something. Add in some traditional pastel-coloured houses and narrow winding streets thrumming with Vespas, and you have a postcard-perfect Italian town that is a joy to explore.

Ischia Town, on the east of its namesake island, also claims one of the Bay of Naples's most majestic sights: Aragonese Castle. This medieval fortress sits precariously on a volcanic rock islet just a short distance from the town's harbour, and you can appreciate it from almost every angle in the town. After exploring it up close, spend your days wandering the streets with gelato in hand, perusing the different trattorias you could return to for a classic Italian supper of pasta and seafood.

Your Ischia Town questions, answered

Distinctly Italian and wonderfully chic. But more laid back than flashier Capri and Sorrento.
Fly into Naples, then you’ll need to catch a boat across to this idyllic little island. It’s well worth the journey.
There are beaches galore, but so much more. Thermal spas, tropical gardens, vineyard tours, boat trips – there’s a great line-up of stuff to do.
