Our Change for Good partnership with UNICEF

In June 2017, a group from easyJet travelled to the Philippines to learn how our partnership helped UNICEF provide vital support for children and their families after Typhoon Haiyan caused large-scale devastation back in 2013

In April 2016, easyJet sent four passionate easyJet employees on a life-changing trip to Cameroon, west Africa, to see UNICEF’s work to protect children from polio.

Mark Wilkinson was one of the four easyJet staff that won the opportunity to visit Cameroon in recognition of his outstanding support for our Change for Good partnership. Mark is former cabin crew and now works in easyJet’s head office in Luton.

“I had the chance of a lifetime to see first-hand the work that UNICEF does and how the money we raise really makes a difference and changes people’s lives,” says Mark. “It was a humbling experience, but at the same time really positive. The people we met were amazing and really wanted to make a difference and were so keen to answer questions. They made us feel so welcome. Overall this was an experience I will never forget.”

In 2015, easyJet Spirit Award winners joined UNICEF on a five day filed trip to The Gambia, in west Africa.

In April 2014, our people travelled to Mauritania, in west Africa, with UNICEF.

In summer 2013, easyJet people travelled to Ghana, in west Africa, to see how money raised through our customers’ on-board donations is helping UNICEF to provide life-saving vaccines to children.
