Accessibility on easyJet.com and easyJet mobile app
easyJet is passionate about making travel easy and affordable for all our customers including those who may have disabilities. In 2012, we set up an Assisted Travel Advisory Board (EATAB) - an independent committee of European experts, dedicated to providing strategic guidance and practical advice on the evolving needs of passengers requiring special assistance. This supports our cause “to make travel easy and affordable” for everyone. easyJet.com is an important part of this, it’s where most trips start. There’s plenty of information for passengers with diverse access needs within our help pages in order to make their journey with us as easy as possible. easyJet is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
How accessible this website is
We are committed to ensuring everyone can access our website and app, including people with vision, hearing, mobility or cognitive impairments. We employ a standards-based approach to development, adhering to the principles and guidelines set out in the technical standard and strive to achieve conformance Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 (WCAG) - published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We do this alongside more ‘practical’ accessibility techniques through regular testing and consultancy using a range of users with diverse needs.
Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that our website, app and information is as accessible as possible, there are certain areas where we know we can improve or have limitations that restrict the level of accessibility. One of these areas is colour contrast. We are aware that our orange branding is harder to read when used with other similar colours. We have taken every step to ensure that where possible the orange is paired with a suitably contrasting colour to improve the readability of our content.
